• Grapeseed oil has antioxidant properties, which protect the skin from premature aging, atmospheric agents and free radicals. Grape seeds have a moisturizing and smoothing action. Its sebum-regulating action and absorption rate make grapeseed oil a precious ally for the beauty of combination or oily skin, which has oily areas especially on the forehead, nose and chin. Finally, grapeseed oil is a natural cosmetic remedy for fine, dry and dull hair, and, used in masks and compresses, helps nourish and strengthen the hair fiber. Since it is an oil sensitive to oxidation, to prevent rapid rancidity, it is best to store it at temperatures below 20°C, away from direct light and heat sources.
• USAGE AND PRACTICAL TIPS
• For the body: an excellent massage oil can be prepared by mixing 40 ml of grapeseed oil and 10 ml of wheat germ oil; then add 10 drops of lavender essential oil, 10 drops of geranium essential oil and 10 drops of lemon essential oil. Shake and let the oil rest for a few hours. When using, massage into the body with circular movements until fully absorbed. For the face: to prevent the appearance of wrinkles on the face, neck and décolletage, grapeseed oil can be used as a makeup remover oil in the evening or as an emollient and moisturizing serum, even with the addition of essential oils: add one drop of geranium essential oil to a teaspoon of grapeseed oil and massage your face before going to bed. For moisturizing combination, oily and impure skin, prepare an emollient oil by mixing 15 ml of grapeseed oil, 15 ml of jojoba oil and 10 drops of lavender essential oil and 5 drops of sage essential oil. Apply a few drops to the face, massaging until absorbed, preferably in the evening before bed. For hair: if you have dull, dry hair and split ends, mix ten drops of ylang-ylang essential oil with two tablespoons of grapeseed oil and apply the oil to the lengths: leave it on wet hair for at least twenty minutes, then proceed with shampoo. Repeat the treatment every week to improve the appearance of dry hair and split ends.
